hi i'm Liz

Sewing is something of a dying art form. Not as many people know how to sew their own clothes, or use a sewing machine anymore.

It’s also a great way to be more sustainable. More often than not, people choose to buy new clothes when old ones start to falter. What happened to make do, and mend?

Hi, I’m Liz Miller and I am a professional seamstress, and have been improving my sewing and embroidery skills for over 15 years.

When I was little, I loved dollies. My grandmother, bless her heart, would spend her days sewing me cute outfits for my beloved dolls whether it was for Christmas, Easter, or just because she wanted to! She’d often make my doll an outfit that matched mine, so we could twin together.

It’s one of those core memories that stuck with me, and sewing became something I enjoyed doing as it reminded me of my grandmother!

It’s something I’ve always loved, but after having my second child, and free time was less available, I decided to quit my job, and make my sewing side hustle my own business!

Now, I personalize, embroider, monogram, and mend items. I also run my own sewing classes for beginners and intermediate sewists.

That’s part of the reason why I set up Sergerpepper.com, to provide you with all of the information you need to practice your skills, learn how to monogram, which machines are best to use, and find out all of the tips and the tricks of the trade I’ve picked up over the years.

I hope you’ll join me, and peruse some of the guides I’ve made for you here. So, if you’re ready to learn, check out Serger Pepper.

Ready, set, Sew!
