Sabra @ Sew a Straight Line

I’m Sabra and I blog at Sew a Straight Line.

I love making fashionable, fun styles for my kids, that look neither homemade nor what you’d find at all the stores. I took a fashion design class in college, that I was super underqualified for (never had sewn before that).

A few years later, I was sewing here and there, but nothing of real quality.

In 2010, I decided I wanted to change that and *really* learn how to sew.

So I grabbed my old college text book, started a blog to track my progress, and began sewing for myself and my three boys.  Then I had a daughter, so now I sew for five, with sometimes something for my husband.

Sometimes.  But not really.  He’s picky.

My goal is to sew as much of mine and my four kids’ clothing as I can, my passion is making that clothing as professional and awesome as possible.

Suzanne @ Winter Wonderings

Hey All, I’m Suzanne and I blog over at Pattern Revolution and Winter Wonderings.

I am also the designer behind Winter Wear Designs – you can check out all the fun on my Facebook Page

I just love being creative – so I write, sew, design; and I’m also a professional photographer….. oh yeah, and I ‘created’ 3 kids in under 14 months, so I have quite a boisterous house with 3 toddlers.

Plenty of people to create for ;o)

And here’s her fully lined vest, with hoodie:

Bethany @ Wildflower Child Create

My name is Bethany Whipps.
I’m married (although my husband works out of town most of the time) and I have three children:
Shiloh (16), Landon (13) and Rebekah (8).
I work full time as a school librarian in a rather large K-8 school.
Although I was raised by an excellent seamstress, who tried to teach me to sew, I wasn’t interested in sewing until I was 30 years old.
When I was 30, I had my mother (she’s the one in the picture with me!) finally teach me to sew.
She was incredibly valuable as a teacher and I feel lucky to have had her.
I’ve been sewing the last four years though – and quite a bit since when I do decide something is my hobby it becomes more of an obsession.
I created children’s clothing to sell for quite awhile but that took up so much time away from my family.
With church activities, art school, basketball, band, ballet, chess club
and science olympiad – did I mention a husband that is never home? –  I just didn’t have the time to continue that.
I’ve backed off from sewing for the masses but I still enjoy sewing clothes for my youngest,
testing for pattern designers, and my newest obsession – quilting!
